The last Wednesday session from 8-10 pm will finish on Sept. 8th at UBC Osborne Gym. We will be starting our regular Saturday trainings on Sept.11th from 10:30 am - 1:00pm at Osborne Gym. See under training for more info., it will be updated soon. Membership and drop in fees will remain the same. BCTHF will be hosting the Senior Men and Women's Team Handball National Championship at the Richmond Olympic Oval May 19 -23, 2011. If you are interested on playing for Team BC or becoming involved with the tournament, please join us at UBC Osborne Gym or contact us.

Beach Handball
Beach handball is the newest beach sport, popular in many European countries. The sport was born just a couple of years ago under the influence of beach volleyball, and beach soccer.
Beach handball is fun, dynamic and different than any other beach sports you know. It is easy to learn to play and it can also be a good work out.

You don't need much to play just a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. As it is played on the sand shoes are not allowed. The field is 27 meters long and 12 meters wide. The playing area is 15 meters and the playing time is 2 x 10 minute halves. There are 4 players per team; 1 goal keeper and 3 field players.
